AIDS WALK LA 2008

Hello everyone. I'm back. My apologies for the absense of posts. This has probably been the longest amount of time between posts on this blog for me since I started. I guess more than anything else I needed a break in my own life. I've spent some good quality time in the last few weeks with my girls. I'm still working on trying to find that balance between family time, personal time, work time, homework time, and just plain old relaxing. I'm sure I will never find that perfect balance, but I guess that's part of the journey of life and I will continue to work towards it. I will begin regular AM posts again soon. But for now...

Here is the content of an email we mailed out a while back. I am posting here in the hope that some of you who may not have received it or if you are a visitor may consider contributing. So far we have raised $350 of our $500 goal. We will be walking with the DreamWorks Team. I'll try to post pictures after the event.

Dear Friends and Family,

Annie and I decided to participate in the AIDS Walk Los Angeles this year. We are excited about getting involved and contributing to our community in addition to teaching Syd about the importance of caring for and helping others.

We have set a modest goal of raising $500 between the two of us and we'd love to meet or exceed it it with your help! You can contribute to our fundraising goal safely and securely online at our Donation Homepage. (We will never personally see your credit card info and the whole process is VeriSign Secured)

Some of you may ask where the money is going and we completely understand as we had the same question ourselves before we signed on to participate. The money raised by AIDS Walk Los Angeles supports the services provided by AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) and other local AIDS Service Organizations throughout Los Angeles County. APLA is dedicated to: improving the lives of people affected by HIV disease; reducing the incidence of HIV infection; and advocating for fair and effective HIV- related public policy. You can find more info here: www.apla.org

Thank you for your time,
Shane, Andrea, & Sydney Mulholland
