Barbados May 2008

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of joing some family in Barbados for vacation. The timing worked out perfectly. I ended Mummy 3 the Friday before and joined DreamWorks when we returned. It was an amazing vacation. I would have to say my favorite things, besides spending a whole week with my girls, was swiming with the sea turtles and visiting with the local people. I always enjoy learning about a new culture. Here are a select few pictures from the trip...

Annie and I in Miami before our flight to Barbados.

The house we stayed at for the week. This is actually a small portion of the whole place but this is where we spent most of our time. The Pool in the foreground, the Family Room behind it, and the Bar next to that.

This is Victor, the head butler and bartender at the house. He was a really neat guy and it was a pleasure to get to know him through the week.

Annie and Syd on the boat ride out to where we snorkeled.

One of many turtles we swam with poking his head up for air.

A crab my brother-in-law caught on the beach out side the house.

Barbados is an independent state in the British Commonwealth and was once British colony. As such the cars and roads are backwards to what we are used to in the States.

I had the opportunity to go diving while we were out there and it was such an amazing experience.

We even swam up to a sunken ship and looked around which was wicked.

The three of us on one of the scenic roads overlooking the Atlantic side of the island.
