Toy Story Zoetrope


Pixar has created this amazing zoetrope for their exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. For those that don't know what a zeotrope is you can read about them at the Wikipedia website. Pixar took it a step further and animated the scene in the computer and then used a "3D printer" to create actual models of each pose. Essentially they took one of the oldest forms used to create the illusion of motion and put a modern twist on it bringing into the three dimensional realm. From what I have seen and heard it's absolutely amazing and I hope I get the chance to see it one day. You can read more about the exhibit here:
