Alvin and the Chipmunks invade theaters today!

Alvin finally hits theaters today. Seven months of hard work and long hours in a hour and a half on the silver screen. I was able to attend a crew screening last week and it was somewhat surreal seeing it up on the screen after all this time. Annie enjoyed it and I think it's a pretty good family film. It's hard for me to judge the film objectively though because of how closely I worked with so many of the scenes. In some ways I feel like I contributed more to this feature than Barnyard. I think Rhythm did a fantastic job with the 'munks especially given the time constraint on the production. I hope it does well and I look forward to seeing how audiences react to it. Thanks to everyone for their patience and support through the whole process. It was a tough one for sure and I wouldn't be able to do it without that support.

And for those of you who don't know already I was picked back up at Rhythm to work on the upcoming Mummy sequel The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I think it will be a fun film and I'm excited about working on an action/vfx driven film for a change. It's just the sort that got me into movies when I was a kid. If you want to know more about the film the director has been blogging his way through the production... http://robcohenthemummy.com/
